Non-healing surgical wounds or post-operative complications- Debridement, infection control, monitoring or prevent dehiscence.
Preventive & Supportive Service
Wound prevention education - For high-risk patients (e.g., diabetics, immobile individuals) on skin care, footwear, and early sign of breakdown.
Compression therapy fitting and education - For venous issues or lymphedema-related swelling.
Referral coordination - To vascular specialist, hyperbaric oxygen (if needed), or certified wound centers for complex cases beyond care scope.
Acute Wound care
Lacerations, cuts and Minor traumatic wounds - Evaluation, cleaning, closure with sutures, staples, or tissues adhesive (glue), and follow-up care
Abrasions, scrapes, and skin tears - Thorough cleansing, debridement if needed, and appropriate dressings.
Burns (minor first-and second-degree)- Assessment, pain management, blister care, and dressing selection to promote healing.
Incision and drainage (I&D) of abscesses - For infected cysts, boils, or small collections.
Animal/insect bites and puncture wounds- Cleaning, tetanus prophylaxis, antibiotics if indicated, and monitoring for infection.
